19 Jul 08 - No Magic in Barnsley

The last show of the first half came along at one of the best venues and marching surfaces on the circuit BYBA Academy Magic in Barnsley on Saturday 19th July 2008.

Yet again the weather was playing tricks (what a summer we are having) one minute sunny and hot the next windy and cold, when we came to perform it was the later.

The general feeling was that the show did have more energy in it (which had been something we had been working on especially in part 3). However some of the key moments seemed to get lost in projecting into the stand, whether this was the wind as was suggested or just one of those things; at the end of the day it was not good enough as our score increased just slightly to 64.39 (taking Guard) and our friends from Revolution came out deserved winners.

It’s just sad that we cannot take our friendly rivalry and close competition right through to the showdown at Finals; something which we are sure they will feel too! We wish them all the best for the remainder of the season.
