19 Mar 08 - Lancers perform at Midlands Preview Evening
Members of Stafford Lancers travelled down to Bedworth Civic Hall to take part in the 2008 Midlands Concert on Saturday 15th March 08, joining 10 other bands from around our region in an evening of entertainment.
The Lancers Colour Guard performed there Winter Guard routine, resplendent in bright pink hair and black eye masks to U2`s "Kiss Me, Kill Me, Thrill Me". This was followed on the stage by Lancers belting out the opening three movements of their 2008 Show EVITA, which was well received.
After the performance a disco was put on for the members of all bands and it was a chance to make some new friends or just chill out and socialise.
An enjoyable evening concluded by the first sing along of 2008 on the way back accompanied by Paul’s dogs barking impressions (very amusing).
At both this event and the recent showcase the members and staff sported their new 2008 Show T Shirts, all sizes are available for supporters at a cost of £10, you can order direct from the website or ask at rehearsal.
