12 Sep 07 - 5th "Brass Explosion" Record Attendance

The 5th Annual BYBA “Brass Explosion Championships” took place over the weekend with record numbers attending the competition.

For the first time the event, which has grown in both size and popularity every year, had a full entry of the top youth bands from around the UK and for the first time Ireland.

A fantastic days entertainment was witnessed by an appreciative crowd that kept the main stand packed all day long. We estimate that around 500 spectators came through the turnstiles to enjoy the day that was blessed with the almost ideal weather for the show.

Brass Explosion Championships would like to place on record their thanks to everyone that supported the day: Stafford Rangers FC, Callprint, St John Ambulance, BYBA, Lancers parents & supporters (for your endless hard work making things run around the venue), Stafford Army Cadets, all the Bands & Corps and their fantastic members who performed on the day, plus anyone who helped in any way – THANK YOU.
