29 Nov 08 - 2008 Presentation Disco -The Awards

Stafford Lancers members, family & friends once again got together for the annual awards night held as usual at Stafford Rangers Sports and Social Club with the Equaliser Disco.

The evening kicked off with Corps Director Dave Milton welcoming everyone and thanking all members, staff and support for helping to make the year so enjoyable.

From there everyone recieved their Lancers year patch and certificate along with the 2008 BYBA Finalist patch.

The main awards were then presented with the The Corps top award, Member of the Year "The Lancers Shield" was presented to Guard member Jodie Burgin(pictured) our congratulations to her.

Bands Band Member of the Year (voted by the members) going to Alex Farraguia (soprano) who also won New Member of the year.

Finally Sean O`Neil recieved his 10 years service award. Sean has been with the Corps since 1999 his debut season being our production of Star Wars. He played soprano for many years before moving onto contra and in the last couple of years as Lancers Drum Major. He also earnt promotion to Brass Instructor with the main Corps. Plus co-ordinates the senior members that give up their time to teach children at the Lancers Academy. Our thanks go to him for outstanding service to the Corps!
