About Stafford Lancers

The Lancers Academy has been set up to make music and dance more accessible to young children. The Academy runs weekly sessions in Brass, Drums and Dance and gives an opportunity for members upon reaching there 11th or 12th birthday to join the Stafford Lancers Main Corps.

The Academy also runs as a training band for the Stafford Lancers Main Corps and has regular visits from its top instructors and personnel.

This section of our organisation is completely staffed by older members of the Main Corps (under adult supervision) who want the opportunity to develop there skill base by passing on some of the knowledge and experiences that they have gained through being part of Stafford Lancers.

If you have a child who is aged between 9 & 12 then the Academy is a fun relaxed place to learn at there own pace with other children their own age.

When we feel they are ready to be offered a spot in the Internationally renown Stafford Lancers Main Corps, we will sit down and discuss how and when this progression will happen.

Equally, if a parent or young member of the Academy feels they want to move up to main Corps they will get given the opportunity to try out.
